Hello Morton Family,

My name is Kerstin Stiffler and I am new to Morton Elementary school this year. I started my career in education many years ago as foreign language teacher teaching German to adult students. After staying home with my two children for 8 years I returned to teaching, first as a Kindergarten Teacher and later as a second grade teacher. Even though I have always had both degrees (a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Education and a Master's Degree in School Guidance and Counseling), I loved teaching so much that I remained in a teaching position for several years until I was offered a school counseling position and accepted the "challenge" to leave the "world" of a classroom teacher:)

I have been a school counselor for 5 years and enjoy this position tremendously! In addition to school counseling, I also work part-time for a high school exchange program as a local IEC (International Exchange Coordinator). I truly enjoy working with teenagers in addition to elementary school-age students.
